Good Omens: The Nice and Accurate Prophecies of Agnes Nutter, Witch - Terry Pratchett & Neil Gaiman

Completed Jan. 10 5/5

Geoff recommended this one. This is basically a book of revelations parody, and is absolutely hilarious. I don't normally read fantasy but would consider reading more by Terry Pratchett if it's all as funny as this. It's sort of a Douglas Adams type humour, (very British..is Terry Pratchett British?) which is why Geoff suggested it. The footnotes are possibly the best part.

First Sentence: It was a nice day.
Last Sentence: And if you want to imagine the future, imagine a boot...no, imagine a sneaker, laces trailing, kicking a pebble; imagine a stick, to poke at interesting things , and to throw for a dog that may or may not decide to retrieve it; imagine a tuneless whistle, pounding some luckless popular song into insensibility; imagine a figure, half angel, half devil, all human...Slouching hopefully towards Tadfield...forever.
