Candyfreak: A Journey Through the Chocolate Underbelly of America

Completed Jan. 24 5/5

I stumbled across this one on the discount table at chapters. Best $2.99 I've ever spent!
As a fellow candyfreak I couldn't stop laughing at this book. As someone who has stockpiled discontinued chocolate bars and driven to every Mac's on the southside looking for the new Maple O'Henry (Orange Kit Kat, White chocolate Reese peanut butter cups, etc., etc.) I could totally relate to it. The book also had a sad feel to it as it showed locally owned candy companies as a dying breed, unable to compete with the big corporations.
I just absolutly loved this book, and I would put it on my top 10 list. (Not that I have one. But if I did it would be on there.)
This is the only non-fiction book on my list. I should also add that when I pulled this book off my shelf just now to add the first and last sentence I noticed I had been using a Wunderbar wrapper as a bookmark. ;)

First Sentence: Some things you should know about the author 1.The author has eaten a piece of candy every single day of his entire life.
Last Sentence: There is hope for him yet.
