This is a collection of autobiographical short stories. I wasn’t too crazy about the first few but they seemed to get funnier the further in you got. Several of them had me laughing out loud and attracting some strange looks on the bus. Favourites were Jesus Shaves, Me Talk Pretty One Day, and I’ll Eat What He’s Wearing. The first two are about his French classes when he and his partner move to Paris, the third is about his father who is inclined to eat rotting food he hides around the house.
I look very forward to reading more by him, and am curious if he has any novels.
No first and last quotes as they are short stories!
